Typical Course Information

ISA Courses offeredCara na Mara, Start Sailing, Basic Skills & Improving Skills.

Note: It may not be possible to cover all the syllabus for Basic Skills or Improving Skills in one week, however we will be able to sign off aspects of the syllabus achieved in the participants log book.

Location: In the city centre at Galway City Sailing Club (@Galway Ocean Sports Club)

Age groups: 8-12 & 13-18

Fee Members: €TBC

Fees Non-Members: €TBC

Places: Places on courses are limited and are allocated on a first come – first served basis.

Time: TBC

Equipment Used: Topper Topaz Dinghies for Youth Sailing & Optibats for Junior Sailing

What to Bring: Wetsuit, Warm clothing (fleece, hat), Youths (13-18 years) – bring buoyancy aid if you can. Buoyancy aids provided for Juniors (8-12 years).

Instruction: Instruction will be provided by an ISA Senior Instructor and the course will be run in accordance with Irish Sailing Association Guidelines.

Junior Pathway Sailing Programme 2019

  • Start 3 March 2019 for 6 weeks: Sunday Morning Coaching (8-12 years) & Youth (13-18 years). This course is open to members.
